Office for Student Affairs Impacts

Through our ongoing assessment efforts, we have discovered that students benefit from engagement and active participation in numerous ways.

In our analyses, we have utilized several sources of data, including institutional data on retention, graduation, grade point average, and participation rates and data from the Student Experience in the Research University survey, Multi-Institutional Survey of Leadership, and Office for Student Affairs surveys or program evaluations. We employed descriptive analyses, quasi-experimental techniques like propensity score matching, and other inferential techniques such as t-tests or regression to discover the variety of ways in which OSA programs, services, and people significantly (p < .05) impact students.
