The University of Minnesota has identified seven student learning outcomes.
- Students who participate in the following Student Affairs programs and services are significantly more likely than their peers who have not participated to agree that they can identify, define, and solve problems:
- Student Unions & Activities student organizations and officers and leaders of organizations
- RecWell instructor-led group fitness courses and intramural programs
- Fraternities and sororities through the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life
- Students who have a student affairs mentor and those who participate in the following Student Affairs programs and services are significantly more likely to agree that they can locate and critically evaluate information.
- Student Unions & Activities student organizations and officers and leaders of organizations
- RecWell instructor-led group fitness courses
- Students who participate in the following Student Affairs programs and services are significantly more likely than their peers who have not participated to agree that they have mastered a body of knowledge and a mode of inquiry.
- Student Unions & Activities student organizations and officers and leaders of organizations
- Leadership Minor & Leadership Enrichment Programs
- Students who have a student affairs mentor and those who participate in the following Student Affairs programs and services are significantly more likely than their peers who have not participated to agree that they understand diverse philosophies and cultures within and across societies.
- Students who participate in the following Student Affairs programs and services are significantly more likely than their peers who have not participated to agree that they can communicate effectively.
- Student Unions & Activities student organizations and officers and leaders of organizations
- RecWell instructor-led group fitness courses and intramural programs
- Fraternities and sororities through the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life
- Leadership Minor & Leadership Enrichment Programs
- Office for Community Standards
- Students who have a student affairs mentor and those who participate in the following Student Affairs programs and services are significantly more likely than their peers who have not participated to agree that they understand the role of creativity, innovation, discovery, and expression across disciplines.
- Student Unions & Activities student organizations
- RecWell instructor-led group fitness courses
- Leadership Minor & Leadership Enrichment Programs
- Fraternities and sororities through the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life
- Students who have a student affairs mentor and those who participate in the following Student Affairs programs and services are significantly more likely than their peers who have not participated to agree that they have acquired skills for effective citizenship and life-long learning:

- RecWell instructor-led group fitness courses
- Leadership Minor & Leadership Enrichment Programs
