Calvin D. Phillips, D. Ed. provides leadership for 20 units to advance student success, promote an inclusive environment and enrich the campus community.
Prior to his current role, he served as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Eastern Michigan University. At EMU, Dr. Phillips had leadership responsibility for housing and residence life; student well-being; new student orientation and campus life; student conduct; international student services; diversity and community involvement; and, the Children’s Institute.
Dr. Phillips earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Social Studies from Oklahoma State University. He earned a Master of Arts in Student Personnel from Slippery Rock University and a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
